Iconic Styles: The “Icons of Style” Project Featuring SARANA® Jewelry on the Pages of Podium kids
Iconic styles inspire, captivate, and allow us to rediscover fashion, art, and history from a fresh perspective. This creative and charismatic atmosphere defines the unique photo project “Icons of Style,” published in the pages of Podium kids magazine. This extraordinary artistic experiment brought together some of the most influential personalities of the 20th and 21st centuries, whose names are forever engraved in the history of fashion, art, and culture. In a surprising creative concept, Marilyn Monroe, Coco Chanel, Frida Kahlo, Karl Lagerfeld, Iris Apfel, Kateryna Pavlenko, and even the charismatic Cruella all appeared within a single visual story. The element that united these very different icons was the jewelry of the Spanish brand SARANA®.

Each look was carefully crafted with special attention to detail in order to express the character, mood, and unique identity of each iconic figure. The central role in the project was played by SARANA® doll pendants, which helped bring the stylists’ artistic vision to life.
To recreate Marilyn Monroe’s image, a striking doll pendant with red fur from the “Crystal Symphony” collection was chosen. A wide red velvet choker completed the styling. Soft white fox fur added a dramatic final touch, creating a powerful and instantly recognizable image of the legendary Hollywood star. The result became one of the most expressive and feminine looks of the entire project.

The image of Coco Chanel would not be complete without pearls. For this reason, stylists used layered pearl necklaces and strands, while the key element was a doll pendant with white fur from the “Crystal Symphony” collection. This combination perfectly conveyed the elegance, restraint, and impeccable taste of the founder of the iconic fashion house.
To create Frida Kahlo’s look, bold statement jewelry made of natural stones was selected. Large fuchsia agates, expressive green coral branches, and a doll pendant from the artistic collection inspired by Pablo Picasso’s painting “The Dream” perfectly matched the vibrant artistic aesthetics of the Mexican painter. Flowers in the model’s hair completed the transformation, making the look feel alive and emotionally powerful.

Iconic styles cannot be imagined without Karl Lagerfeld. To reflect his unmistakable aesthetic, a white shirt, a sharp black suit, and biker leather gloves were used. As a signature detail, a doll pendant from the “Six Cats” collection was styled as a brooch under the collar of the shirt. This choice paid tribute to the designer’s well-known love for cats.
Equally striking was the look of Iris Apfel—one of the most recognizable fashion icons of all time. Oversized round glasses, layered necklaces made of coral and turquoise, three artistic doll pendants, and her signature radiant smile perfectly captured her bold and eclectic personality.

A special place in the project was given to Kateryna Pavlenko, Ukrainian singer and Eurovision contestant. For this look, SARANA® artisans specially created two doll pendants designed to be worn as earrings. A black outfit, black agates, soft green fur, and layered silver chains helped form a modern, bold, and highly charismatic image.
One of the most visually powerful transformations was Cruella, a character known for her dramatic and iconic aesthetic. A black-and-white wig, a contrasting outfit, and asymmetrical doll pendant earrings were used to bring her to life. A pendant with black fur adorned the light side of the hairstyle, while a white-fur pendant decorated the dark side. A piercing gaze and a confident expression completed the character.
The “Icons of Style” project demonstrated how iconic styles can be reinterpreted through designer jewelry. SARANA® doll pendants did not simply complement each transformation—they became an essential part of an artistic narrative that united legendary figures from different eras. Working on this project was a source of inspiration and creativity, and the final result became a true celebration of fashion, art, and imagination.
